My little baby

Well I am now 21 weeks and counting... Yes, halfway there! I had my first official pre-natal exam yesterday and I got to hear baby's heartbeat and see what it looks like.  
"Thank you Allah" is all I've been saying because I have waited so long for this blessing.  I don't have any clear photos of the ultrasound but I'll share the one with the heartbeat.

I'm due September 1st but you know two weeks before or after is the actual birth.  I'm praying everyday for a healthy and good pregnancy cycle and a safe delivery.

That white line is his spine so he's like upside down :/ But at least he's okay ^^ Alhamdulilaah!  

Next week is clinic day!  I can hardly wait :)

I'm pregnant!

Yes, you read right! 

This is the embryo at 8 weeks and 9 days
Right now it's going into 14 weeks :)

I'm so happy that Allah blessed me with the gift to be a mother :-)
I prayed and prayed and now it's possible.  I know I have keep myself healthy and stress free.  I am working on it everyday.  
Thank you to all my family and friends who are being very supportive, I know this baby will be loved dearly ^^

It feels so good that I don't throw up after eating during the day.  I had more evening sickness than the morning.  
I didn't even know I was pregnant till my scheduled ultrasound appointment to see how much cysts I have on my ovaries.  When they found an embryo instead, they were so surprised!  Me too because who knew it was possible after being hospitalised last November 2012 for a blood transfusion.  I had lost 5 pints of blood due to my excessive bleeding and it left me with 8.2 pints of blood in my body.
I'm now weighing 140 lbs (I'm not underweight anymore), I have aversions for meat (bleh!) and my breasts are full of milk lol.

My next appointment is May 1st and I have my prenatal ultrasound in April where I'll be able to hear baby's heartbeat!  Of course I'll keep you all updated because I am super excited!  As for PCOS and the amount of cysts I have, I'll know probably at the next exam in April. 
By the way, I'm due September 6th ^^

Buss-up shot and Stewed Beef

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

Today is very hot and sort of humid here in Trinidad and Tobago.  I know a lot of places are experiencing rainy weather and possible hurricanes.  I would like to send my prayers out to you all and may you have a safe weekend.

So... I am cooking at the moment!  I made buss-up shot roti and right now we (Shawn and I) are cooking the stewed beef.  He always love making it himself :-P since he does a great job incorporating the pepper and everything else.
